Description
A young Turkish boxer living in Hamburg, Germany, Melik Oktay and his widowed mother strive to steer far clear of trouble on their long road toward citizenship. Yet they are Muslim, and this fact alone carries with it dangers and suspicions in the post-September 11 world--a world well aware of Hamburg's role in hosting several of the terrorist hijackers. When Melik confronts a skinny man in a trenchcoat who has been shadowing him, the stranger claims to be a medical student in need of help. Little does Melik know that this man is wanted--and that Melik's family may be destroyed by a single act of kindness.
