Applying for a Library Card

The doors open to a whole new world when you apply for a Prescott Valley Public Library card. A library card is the most effective resource of all. Stop by and pick up your free card.
The Prescott Valley Public Library participates in the Yavapai Library Network borrowing program. This means that any resident of Yavapai County can apply for a Prescott Valley Library card for free and have access to any library and their materials.

Learn about your responsibilities

Having a library card gives you access to incredible resources, but with it comes some responsibility. Please understand policies on borrowing materials, renewing materials and what to do if your card is lost or stolen. The few minutes it takes to check out these simple rules could save you time and money later!
Valid photo identification and proof of address are required for a library card. If the address and phone number associated with your library card account card should change, please notify us as soon as possible. The address and phone number associated with your library card account will be verified yearly.

The card will be assigned a four-digit PIN for placing holds, renewing materials, and using a computer. This is the last four digits of the cardholder's telephone number.
Minors 15 and under must have a parent or legal guardian present. Students 16-17 can apply without a parent or guardian present. Parents/guardians will be notified by mail that the card has been issued to the student.
