Math-U-See is a unique program that is "built around the block", presenting mathematical concepts so that students can easily visualize and understand them. While many programs utilize manipulatives in early learning, Math-U-See continues using them into the high school levels to illustrate higher-level concepts in algebra and geometry. The Fraction Overlay Kit is used when teaching fractions in Epsilon level. Forty-nine total pieces represent halves through sixteenths. There are 5 green, 2 orange, 3 pink, 4 yellow, 5 blue, 6 purple, and 8 brown colored vinyl pieces representing the numerator. Clear lined vinyl overlays portray the denominator, with two each of halves, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths, eighths, and tenths, and one half-sheet each of eighths and sixteenths. No matter what curriculum is being used, students will benefit from interacting with these simple but versatile tools for understanding math. Adult supervision required, age 4 & up, choking hazard.
