Description
Christmas Eve, 1814. Jane Austen is spending the holiday at the gorgeous ancestral home of the politically prominent Chute family. Everyone is in a celebratory mood: Mansfield Park is selling well, Napoleon has been banished to Elba, and John Quincy Adams has just signed the Treaty of Ghent. But holiday cheer is fleeting. One of the Yuletide gathering dies in a tragic accident whose circumstances Jane immediately views with suspicion.
